Floods: Course 6: Recovery FL006

Disaster recovery involves a set of policies and procedures to enable the recovery or continuation of vital technology, infrastructure and systems following a natural or human-induced disaster.

This course aims to train learner on the basic steps of flood recovery, the processes and activities applied for restoration, as well as the importance of temporary shelter and psychological support. These units will qualify the learner for a useful and productive cooperation when participating in recovery tasks.

Objectives

The objectives of this course are to provide deep knowledge about the concept of recovery, to teach the basic steps of floods recovery, and understand how to minimize the side-effects of the disaster through psychological support and temporary shelter. The learner will also be aware of alternative measures of recovery successfully implemented in Bulgaria.
